Want to import shifts from another scheduling system (e.g. Altametrics, eRestaurant, Tracks, Merit etc) or from an excel spreadsheet? Just follow the steps below and your team's shifts will be imported into Breakroom Chat.
From desktop computer:
Log into your Breakroom Chat account through our website, breakroomapp.com. Go to the Schedule page and click on "Import Shifts".
Upload your schedule. To get the best results, please upload a PDF that is easily readable. Make sure each page of your schedule is on its own page in the file or its own separate PDF file.
Once the schedule is uploaded, our system will analyze the file and extract the team members, shift dates and shift times from the file. This process may take up to an hour. It will say "Ready for Import".
The final step is to match the team members on your schedule with team members in your Breakroom Chat. We do most of the matching for you but there may be some team members that have a different name in Breakroom Chat. If a team member is not in Breakroom Chat, you can select "Exclude from schedule"
One you finish importing shifts, your shifts will automatically populate in your schedule. Review the schedule for accuracy. Make sure to click on "Publish" to send the shifts to your team.
